About Us

Hi, I'm Rogue, site creator and webmaster. I'm 32 years old and have been reading noir novels for the last 10 years. My first taste of noir fiction arrived in the form of James Ellroy's The Big Nowhere. Up to then, I had been a reader of mainstream fiction (Clancy, Archer, Grisham etc) and I was totally unprepared for the impact Ellroy's work would have on me. Since then, I have read all of Ellroy's novels bar two (which are in my bookcase awaiting attention). and have been unwaveringly gripped by both his work, and of other work within the genre. About two years ago, I was introduced to the work of Edward Bunker, and this has had a similar effect on me.

While I do not read solely noir fiction, it is my most passionate choice. I look forward to being introduced to the work of more authors, and I hope that other noir fans will view this site favourably. Whatever you think, don't be a stranger. Mail me here.
