Eric Garcia is a thirty-year-old writer originally from Miami, Florida. His novels include the cult hit Anonymous Rex (1999), Casual Rex (2001), and Matchstick Men (2002), and have been translated and published all over the world. The film version of Matchstick Men, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Nicolas Cage and Sam Rockwell, will be in theatres August 8, 2003. Eric attended Cornell University and the University of Southern California, where he majored in film and creative writing. He currently lives outside Los Angeles with his wife Sabrina, his daughter Bailey, and his chubby dachshund Oliver, whose has only recently learned not to eat shoes. Unfortunately, he has been supplementing his diet with Bailey`s plastic Disney characters. Though his love of writing novels comes first, Eric keeps himself busy with a host of other projects. He continues to write for both film and television, and is currently shepherding the Anonymous Rex TV series through what has proven to be a lengthy development process. In his spare time, he tries to answer e-mail and take care of basic hygiene. |
