Chuck Palahniuk was born in February 1961 to Carol and Fred Palahniuk. His unusual surname came from his Ukrainian grandparents, Paula and Nick. Originally surnamed Seits, Paula and Nick combined their first names to create Palahniuk (pronounced paul-ah-nik). His first novel, Fight Club was released in 1996 to critical acclaim and was made into a film of the same name, starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
Since then, Chuck has gone on to pen further novels including Survivor, Invisible Monsters, Choke, Lullaby and Diary. |
